Hacı Özbek Camii

Also known as Çarşı Mescidi, the structure was commissioned by Hacı Özbek bin Muhammed in 1333-1334 and is described as the oldest Ottoman work with an inscription. It has a square plan measuring 7.92 x 7.92 meters.

Brick tie beams were used between the stonework in its walls; the eight-meter-diameter dome is covered with tiles, and the mosque has no minaret. The western portico, with two marble columns and three pointed arches, was demolished during street-widening work in the 1940s, and a new portico was added to the northern section using a new technique in 1959.
