Description
The structure, also known as Hacı Hamza Hamamı and Belediye Hamamı, has no known patron or precise date; it is dated to the late 15th or early 16th century. It is reached via Atatürk Caddesi.
The women's section lies north of the double hammam, and the men's section to the south. The square-plan changing room, warm room, hot room, and private rooms are covered by domes; an octagonal heated marble platform is at the center of the hot room. The external walls are built of a mixture of rubble stone and brick, with cut stone used at the corners. The marble doorway and brick pediment arch of the women's entrance are notable.
